SENZOR, s.r.o. has its roots connected with VUKOV – Metal-working Research Institute Prešov. In 1969 ÚKP – Metal-working Industry Institute was established in Prešov. The main establishing subjects were VŠT Košice – Engineering Faculty and Hutný projekt Košice. Initial orientation of the Institute was in research and development of new products and processing technologies on the basis of sheets from VSŽ Košice production and research and development of technologies and machinery of the higher production type, in particular for rationalization needs of The East Slovak Region. On 1st of March 1970 organization name has been changed to VUKOV Prešov and new branch was open in Nové Zámky, from which independent Tool Research Institute – VUNAR was established in successive steps.
