Touchless fixtures are especially suitable as an effective support of fighting Legionella bacteria. They are programmable and suitable for implementing special automatic functions, i.e. controllable from a superior centre.
Thermal disinfection of a fixture must allow opening for a thermal disinfection cycle and must be resistant to flush water with a temperature higher than 70 °C. The shower fixtures - SABA R, SABA Q, SABAP with BYPAS thermostat bypass – meet these requirements. They are controlled using a remote control or a lead-out potential-free input. A return to the previous mode is automatic after 10 minutes. For safety reasons any scanning in the sensor range during the thermal disinfection cycle period causes its immediate stop. Stand-type wash basin faucets - WBS 2, WBS P2, WBS P3, WBS Q4 - with a special design with an external potential-free input provide similar options.
Hygienic flushing is a function that can be activated using a remote control with all shower and wash basin fixtures. It is used for a regular flushing of a fixture, i.e. discharge of stale water in the piping, which causes worse condition for bacteria over-growth.
It is not a disinfection, but it prevents higher Legionella bacteria concentrations. Various parameters, such as flushing, water flow period, etc., can be set using a remote control or through an external input.
The Legionella bacteria microfiltration is installed in SABA Q1.2–REXT.1FIL shower panel with a double-acting opto-electronics, which uses a maximum filter efficiency and controls its activity with respect to a user´s comfort.
It enables a combination with a hygienic flushing of stale water and filter flushing. Parameter setting can be performed using a remote control or external inputs.
EIB communication device
Senzor also produces some products according to the European Installation Bus standard, useful for building management systems.
These devices are characterized, besides an autonomous function, by an ability to communicate with a superior system according to a special protocol. They can meet the microbiological hygiene requirements of the system.
Currently these products are WBS2 EIB wash basin faucets and APIS 4 EIB urinal flushing device.
